An Ode To The Summer
A little love letter to the lovely summer season that was as the daylight becomes less and the air cools.
I am still learning to be more present and to trust the process. It’s a solace, the consistency of how the seasons change, and it’s sweet how every time we are all surprised by it.
Hush hush, it’s alright, I want to tell my inner child, because another season is over and time is passing but you must trust you’ll continue to grow in all the right ways.
Change as simple as the seasons is not always easy though, I think. The world is a little loud for me sometimes as it is. But as Tennessee Williams once wrote, this world is mercurial, and undoubtedly it will have its way with you. Some days it feels like a peaceful flowing river and other days it’s a forest fire, but the one thing you can, and must save from it every time, is love.
Love in what ever form. The love you pour into what ever and how ever you express the art of your existence. Love for one another, for yourself. And above all, the love it takes from within to accept and nurture courage to surrendering to not only what is as inevitable as the season change; but to the magic and miracles of what can become from that surrendering.
Hush hush, just wait a little longer. something so beautiful you can’t yet imagine is just around the corner.
